Dr Peter Havel
Peter has nearly 30 years’ experience within both private and public education in Western Australia, most of which have been in senior leadership or Principal roles. Peter is currently the Principal at Albany Senior High School. He has completed several postgraduate degrees at Curtin University including a PhD in Educational Change Management. Peter is one of the founding Directors of Alta-1. As a consequence of his Christian faith, Peter has a deep conviction that we have a responsibility to care for the disadvantaged.

| | Garfield Thompson
Garfield Thompson is a Registered Psychologist and also one of the founding Directors of Alta-1 Ltd. Before coming to Australia, Garfield’s work in racially troubled areas in the U.S.A. provided a background to develop numerous recovery and personal development models and courses that Alta-1 continues to use to this day. Garfield has been involved in both the private and government school sectors as an Educational Psychologist who is nationally recognised for the work he has conducted with youth at-risk. A significant focus of his role over the years has been to assist families with children who struggle at school because of severe behavioural problems.

Paul Trinder
Paul is the Senior Minister at ‘The Place Church’ in Landsdale, Western Australia and holds numerous Board positions on other not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia. Paul has over 20 years’ experience working directly with the community in both metropolitan and rural areas in WA developing and leading organisations and programs that promote community development and assist the disadvantaged and socially marginalised. Paul is also a founding Director of Alta-1 and has developed strategies for the organisation to relate to the community and other partnering organisations.
